Being a Jenks West Elementary PYP Parent- Jenks West Elementary is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). West Elementary is the first elementary school in Oklahoma to offer the PYP and one of the largest PYP schools in North, Central and South America.

The aim of the PYP is to develop lifelong learners through integrated learning experiences and authentic assessments. JWE students strive to take action to create a better world through global understanding. This learning and personal development does not stop once the school day ends. As JWE parents, the reinforcement and consolidation of student learning and development away from the classroom is critical and powerful. Through the Learner Profile, West Elementary aims to develop the whole child, fostering positive attitudes and skill development.
